City Bag......

Think I told you about a bag I was working on.....this is a picture of it (including my very *thready* design wall!)  I think now that you see the picture, you understand why I said I was going to call it The City Bag.  It's made using a heavier fabric with the city printed on it and Robert Kaufman's Essex Linen in black as the base of the bag and the handles.  For the lining, I used a fun, newspaper-type print.  It's pretty good-sized, so for us *bagless in Bellingham* folks it would be a great bag to take shopping!  I'm looking forward to hauling my projects around in it after we're done using it as a sample.  I took some time yesterday and wrote up the directions on how I made it, if you're interested.  And yes, we still have some of the fabric, as well as some other great fabrics to make a bag.

Yesterday was another fun day at the shop.  Sharon kicked off the day with a group of folks who learned how to hand-piece a LeMoyne Star block.  Then, Diane had the next to the last class with her Beginning Quilting class.....these gals are doing a FABULOUS job on their projects.  It's so much fun to see to their enthusiasm for learning new skills.  Harriet and I kept busy with customers and were on a *cleaning up* mission at the same time  =)  How was your Saturday?
