Hooray for the Red, White and Blue.....

I'm back.....been a busy few weeks around home and the shop, but here I am again!  One of the things I've been working on was this great red, white and blue runner from the book *Quilted Living*.  I always seem to look at this type of a project and think, oh, that will be quick and easy to whip up for a sample.  Well, it probably would be if it weren't for the first quarter taxes, payroll, newsletter, calendar, work schedule, May bills and moving a daughter and two grandsons!  But here it is....Tracey did an absolutely fabulous job quilting it and I got the binding sewn on this weekend.  It's on the design wall right now while I try and decide on a good home for it!  It really was fun to make and we even still have the fabrics in stock, as well as the book!

Today was just a crazy, busy day at the shop.  It started out quiet for about 1/2 hour and then ~ bam ~ busy all day long!  Linda and I barely had time to catch our breath!  But we did get the Tea Party set up for tomorrow and managed to open the freight and put it away too!  There were some great new batiks from Hoffman that arrived today.  Last week, the new Jen Kingwell fabrics arrived, as well as the charm packs from her line *Gardenvale*.  (I confess I have been feverishly working on a project using a couple of prints....the reveal will be soon.)  And Jan and I have been working hard on getting a BOM ready to unveil in the next few weeks....unfortunately, two of the bolts of fabric have gotten delayed during the port slowdown, so we cannot complete the whole thing yet.  BUT....we have a plan so you can see it pretty soon!  Stay tuned.

Okay...it's been a very long day, so I am going to call it a night.  Watch your inboxes for an email update I am in the process of sending ~ okay?  You should see it sometime this week (can only send 1,000/day).
