Hoopla fun.....

We recently got this great line from In The Beginning Fabrics called *Hoopla*. Included with the fabric was this fun little wallhanging-sized project with free directions .  I wanted to make it, so Diane was drafted to cut out the letters for me from the panel.  As she was cutting letters and I was making spools, I started looking at what the words were in the pattern....hey....with a little change here and there, we could get our name up at the top!  How much fun would that be?!?  What do you think?  True confession here...the top isn't done yet.  Have the letters stitched down on three of the four borders and might *tweak* those cornerstones before we stitch it to the center.  Hoping to get it done in the next couple of days.

How has your Sunday been?  Are you a Seahawk's fan?  As I told you before, I kind of wimp out on the close games.  So, you probably know that I couldn't watch a lot of it  =)   I went downstairs and sewed on another project and just *checked in* often.  Then, at the end, I decided to do what I did a month ago when my oldest son was under a tornado watch with sirens going off in Nashville and I couldn't just sit there and listen to the Weather Channel.  I jumped on the treadmill, cranked it up close to 4 mph and turned the sound off on the television and watched.  And just like when the tornado didn't touch down in Nashville, the Seahawks managed to pull out a win and are Super Bowl bound!  (Does that mean I am going to have to walk on the treadmill for the whole Super Bowl?!?)  Anyway, I'll be showing you the project in a day or two that I finished when I wasn't watching the game.  Have a super week everyone!
