Poinsettia beauties.........

Here's the two pics I promised you.  Sharon has been *playing* with the Quick Curve Ruler from Sew Kind of Wonderful.  Well, she noticed on Jenny's blog that she had put up a free tutorial for a tablerunner using this block.  Sew...Sharon got to work and in less than 2 hours she had made this block.  She brought it in and showed me and offered to make me one too for the shop.  Hers is the second one pictured here and mine is the first.  I just had to bind them and she did all of the rest, included the stunning quilting on her longarm.  Aren't they super?  We both decided that just the one block for our tables with maybe a poinsettia plant perched in the middle (or a plate of cookies?) would be the most useful.  But if you hop over to Jenny's site you'll see how she put them together in a tablerunner in colors to match her decor.  The reason I held off showing you, was because we were down to only one ruler left!  I did get six more and have a dozen on their way, but sadly they're lost somewhere in transit =(   Plus, the other good news is that the ruler was one of our Nifty Notions this year; and as such, it's on sale until the end of the month!!  Sharon has offered to teach a class using the ruler if there's enough interest.  It would be after the first of the year, so give us a shout if you're interested.

How's your Sunday looking?  Around here, I pulled the leftover turkey carcass out of the freezer and am making some turkey soup....gonna be yummy on this cold day, plus put some good smells in the house too!  And I have some sewing projects to work on too....will try and cheer on the Seahawks this afternoon, but I confess sometimes it gets too intense and I have to leave the room ~ I can be such a wimp!  Whatever your day holds, I hope it is relaxing and enjoyable.  I'll be blogging gift ideas coming up this week.  And watch your Inbox for an e-mail update from us coming this week!
