The Autumn Leaves....
A couple of years ago, I decided I should stop saying that I was "older than dirt"...and then on a trip to my grandson's birthday party an older classic Porsche pulled up beside me on I-5 and it hit me (well not literally, thank goodness!) I should start calling myself "classic". So, being "classic" as I am, the old song Autumn Leaves is what I think of when I look at this great Eleanor Burns wallhanging/runner project. You know, "The falling leaves drift by the window. The autumn leaves, of red and gold...." Can't you just hear Frank or Nat singing that? But I digress greatly! Did you catch Harriet's Halloween addition to this fun project? What would Eleanor say?!? It's always a pleasure to do an Eleanor Burns project - her directions and design are a joy to work with. Maybe it's because she's a classic too! Or that she's a former kindergarten teacher, and that means she gets down to my level!! It's not too late for you to create this to hang for Thanksgiving...or put on your table for that matter.Hope you enjoyed your "extra" hour today. I guess technically, we just traded back for the hour we gave away last Spring....anyway, it was nice to have one more hour to spend on a Sunday! What did I do? Well, I am realizing right now that the day is pretty well over and I didn't do too much of anything "fun"! I did spend a couple of minutes on a sewing project, but that's it. The rest was payroll, bills, November newsletter, new class schedules, an e-mail ready to send tomorrow, laundry, homemade turkey soup. Okay, that's enough of that. I'm going to post this and go sit and read the paper! Big week ahead of us - Tea Party Wednesday and Fall Fabric Frenzy Sale Thursday-Saturday. Woohoo! See you all soon.
